Whenever you select your iPod from the iTunes source list, you will be presented with a screen that contains a series of tabs. These tabs allow you to customize the way your device connects to and synchronizes with your iTunes media. Let s look at what each tab has to offer, as well as some ways to add content to your iPod touch.

Note the functions registered with the application model for the B load and unload events in the browser. If you recall from the earlier overview of the core library, the client framework provides a page lifecycle similar to the ASP.NET lifecycle. In this case, you use the load event as an opportunity to C register a handler for any changes to the list of departments. Futon includes a link to compact the database simply click the database name on the Futon start page (in this case, the books database). On this page, next to the Create Document link, you will see the link for Compact Database. Click this to begin compacting. Before the process starts, you will be warned that deleted documents and previous revisions will be removed and that the operation is irreversible and can take a while for large databases (Figure 5-15). Note When a CouchDB database is compacted, the database file is rewritten, permanently removing out-ofdate revisions and previously deleted documents from the file. Once you run compaction, there is no way of recovering this data.
